MIDAS (INDIA) DONATED A VERSATILE SOFTWARE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING, OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY ILE – IFE

Midas software donated to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile – Ife, is a partnership between selected universities in Nigeria and Midas (India) facilitated by Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) in order to promote the advancement of engineering education, research, and practice. The Society intends to enhance collaboration that bridge the gap between Nigerian Universities and private sector and International Development partners for national development.

Ltd., South Korea (www.midasuser.com)  a globally well-known technology company devoted to expanding civil and structural engineering practice by way of cutting-edge software, research, and professional advancement ingenuities across academia and industry.

The fundamental strength of the software is in its versatility, the ability to be used for the design of several civil and structural engineering projects such as roads, bridges, high rise buildings, tunnels wind analysis geotechnical engineering and soil-structure interaction etc. The donated software in its across-the-board feature set, directly reflects its high-end viable history.

Professor Akindehinde Ayotunde Akindahunsi is the university representative on the Nigerian Universities users’ platform for the software. The mission is to train both faculty members and students on the software usage
