Mr Akinropo.Musiliu Olajumoke is a Lecturer I at the Department of Civil Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He obtained OND and BSc (Civil Engineering) from The Polytechnic, Ibadan and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, respectively. He also obtained MSc and MPhil (with specialisation in structural engineering) from University of Lagos and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, respectively. He is currently rounding up work on his PhD thesis in structural engineering option. He teaches structural engineering courses. His research focus is on safe structures for human habitation and prevention of collapse of structures. He has published in both local and international reputable journals and conferences.

Mr Olajumoke research areas include:

  • Design and construction of safe reinforced concrete (RC), composite and steel structures.
  • Improvement of local materials of construction to prevent deterioration and collapse of structures.
  • Appropriate use of cement and supplementary cementitious materials in concrete.
  • Strengthening and remediation of distressing reinforced concrete structures.

Mr Olajumoke is a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and professional member of the Materials Society of Nigeria (MMSN).
